We are looking for a hands-on GCP Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform to manage, secure and optimise our cloud infrastructure. This role suits candidates who work actively on GCP services, GKE, IAM, networking and cloud automation.

Google Cloud Platform
- Design, deploy and manage GCP infrastructure, including Compute Engine VMs, VPCs, subnets and firewall rules, and Cloud Load Balancing.
- Manage and optimise GKE clusters.
- Implement IAM roles, service accounts and security policies.
- Monitor cloud resources using Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
- Optimise cloud cost, performance and availability.
Cloud security and reliability
- Implement security best practice across GCP.
- Manage backups, snapshots and disaster recovery strategies for GCP workloads.
- Maintain high availability, fault tolerance and data integrity.
- Handle incident response and root cause analysis.
DevOps and automation
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab or Jenkins.
- Automate cloud provisioning with scripts or infrastructure as code, Terraform preferred.
- Work with development teams on cloud deployments.
System and network administration (secondary focus)
- Manage Linux and Windows servers, on-premises and in cloud.
- Configure networking components including routers, firewalls and VPNs.
- Provide L2/L3 support for system and cloud issues.
Documentation and collaboration
- Maintain architecture diagrams and cloud documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, QA and security teams.
- Track new GCP services and recommend improvements.
Mandatory skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience with GKE, GCP IAM, VPC, subnets, firewall rules and Compute Engine.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Linux system administration.
- Cloud monitoring and troubleshooting.
Good to have
- GCP certification: Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
- Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Docker and Kubernetes certifications.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure, secondary.
