We are looking for a skilled Golang Developer to join our engineering team. You will design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices, work with cross-functional teams on cloud-native applications, optimise system performance and contribute to architectural decisions.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Go, event-driven microservices architecture and cloud environments, along with a habit of writing clean, efficient, maintainable code.

Key responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, efficient and scalable applications in Go.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code to agreed coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, identify issues and give constructive feedback.
- Optimise performance and scalability through refactoring, caching and other strategies.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies and Go best practice.
- Mentor and guide junior developers to build their Go expertise.
- Contribute to improving development processes, tools and methodologies.
- Manage and maintain cloud databases.
Mandatory requirements
- Strong proficiency in Go, including concurrency, data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven microservices architecture, ideally using Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub.
- Experience with REST, event-based and gRPC communication protocols.
- Experience with web development frameworks.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and related technologies.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, with hands-on database integration from Go.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, development and consumption.
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, with accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
